Asheley's Heart parents are essential to the work we do with our girls. We encourage open dialogue with our parents and we provide a support system to assist where there is a need. There are sessions for parents where we discuss different struggles and happenings directly related to raising young African American girls. There are also rap sessions for parents (without the girls) where we establish a safe space for individuals needing to talk with other parents going through similar situations.
